Welcome to the Brockton Public Library. The Brockton Public Library System invites you and your family to use the library to further your education, find information, and enjoy our collection. Their in-house resources include a collection of more than 140,000 books, 1,700 videos, and 1,000 audio tapes; computers for Internet access and word processing; museum passes for the entire family, and historical resources to assist you with your genealogical needs. The library can also easily access the collections of 29 other area libraries through our participation in the Old Colony Library Network.

Furthermore, through Project Outreach a library driver can deliver books, magazines, videos, and other library materials to Brockton residents who are physically unable to access the library building.   People with temporary disabilities, such as a broken leg, are welcome to use the service until they are mobile again.  Project Outreach offers homebound residents access to all of the library materials that someone coming into the library would have access to. Materials are selected by the coordinator of the program based upon your stated preferences, or patrons may request specific titles.  Patrons must call a few days in advance to arrange for delivery and pick up.  Outreach materials can be kept for 2-4 weeks.  Outreach patrons are responsible for calling to arrange a pick-up before the date they are due.  You can call the Main Library at 508-580-7890, x207 for more information on Project Outreach or e-mail the Project Outreach coordinator.

Our three locations offer various programs for people of all ages. All of our programs and services are available to any member of the public, but you need a library card to borrow library materials or use the Internet.
