The library had been operating on a very limited budget and hours for many years.  The 2017-2018 effort to revitalize the library, including refreshing and diversifying the collection and reorganizing the space, encouraged former Director Olivia Johnson and a solid corps of volunteers to increase library hours from two per week to ten!  In 2018 that became 12 hours per week and in 2021 it became 14 hours per week.  At the 2018 Annual Town Meeting, voters approved funds to install a well at the library as a first step toward providing a lavatory.  The well was installed in 2020.  In 2021 plans are begin drawn up for a small addition to house a lavatory.  This will be a multi-step process.  Meanwhile, the library does offer an ADA-accessible porta-potty.
