A charming fieldstone building with a gabled roof, cupola, two chimneys and a large arched window, the Hills Branch Library was completed in 1928 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.  A portion of the Hills Branch budget is supported privately.  This casual and welcoming community destination has been cherished by neighborhood residents for generations.

Originally a one-room schoolhouse, the Fells Branch was converted to a library in 1923 and is the oldest municipal building in Wellesley. A portion of the Fells branch budget is privately funded.  After a recent renovation, Fells operates as a unique and intimate early learning library that offers hands-on, interactive activities geared toward children ages 0-6.

The Fells Branch garden is an extension of the interior. Children are invited to explore the four-season fountain, musical instruments, play hut and more. The Fells garden was made possible by funding from the Wellesley Free Library Foundation and the Community Preservation Committee, with additional support from the Wellesley Garden Study Club and the Department of Public Works, who planted and will maintain the landscaping.
