CUMMINGTON, MA.
The Bryant Free Library and the Librarian’s House were built by William Cullen Bryant and donated to the Town of Cummington along with a collection of his books. Today the library holds about 7000 books, 400 videotapes, and 100 audio tapes along with a computer for patrons to use for internet access and a copier for patron use. The library has an annual budget of about $9500 which is used to pay utility bills and to purchase new books. Each year the Cummington library has about 3000 patron visits.
