The building that houses the bookstore is as significant in the message that it conveys. The owner, Zee Johnson, and staff are committed to their love of books.
Although you would never know it now, the bookstore is located on the first floor of a building that used to be a crack house. With the hard work of many people who wanted Olive Tree Books-n-Voices to succeed, the former crack house transformed into an inviting homey place in 2004. It is now a comfortable place where you can come in and browse through the more than 1000 titles. You can make a selection from the Inspirational & Religious room, browse in the historical section, view our new wellness section or have a cup of coffee or tea while using Wi-Fi, curl up on the sofa with a bestseller, read to your unborn child in our Mother’s rocking chair, or have your children read stories in the Young Readers room.
In addition, there are also cards, Bibles, journals, magnets, handbags, one-of-a-kind floral arrangements, gift baskets, and specialty/unique items to select from.
